Curious friends, embark on the history of the Castle of Morlanne and the Castle of Mascaraàs (Mascaraàs-Haron), classified Historical Monuments. Discover the Gallo-Roman museum in Claracq with its ancient villa in Lalonquette, the Bayonne ham museum in Arzacq, the museum of old tools - Arasclet in Garlin or the pottery museum in Garos. Come and stroll through our bastides, towns and authentic villages with a very Bearn character: bastides of Arzacq, Garlin and Lembeye; medieval village of Morlanne ; village of Conchez-de-Béarn; village of fountains in Moncaup, Morlaàs former historical capital of Béarn and Béarn city of Pontacq. Adventurers, the North Béarn is a great playground for practicing all kinds of outdoor and leisure activities! Explore the area on foot, by mountain bike or on horseback through 71 walking circuits, 36 mountain biking circuits and 8 equestrian circuits. The North Béarn is crossed by 2 ways of the Way of Saint-Jacques de Compostelle, those of Arles and of Puy en Velay. Test the hike-drawing, unique in the department, with its desks to learn to sketch the heritage and the landscapes.
Around the water, try your hand at paddle boarding or sailing on Gabas Lake, fishing on our many lakes and fishing courses or take a dip in our outdoor pools.
