- The Gîte de Lamarquette is a place of calm and relaxation in the middle of the countryside. It is located in the heart of Béarn, between Pyrenees and Côte Basque, near Pau , on the way to Compostela. It is the old sheepfold of a Béarn enclosure; its restoration by us was carried out with the desire to combine the comfort and charm of traditional buildings.
  
  2 bedrooms are fitted out, each with their own bathroom and toilet. The pool side room is equipped with a 180 cm bed or 2 90 cm beds. The garden side bedroom has a 160 cm bed and direct access to the outside.
  
  You can enjoy a large garden in the middle of meadows with a view of the Pyrenees. Around an oak tree over 200 years old, more than 50 old rose bushes and numerous perennial plants flourish.
  
  Our 12 meter long salt swimming pool will ensure absolute relaxation in the heart of Béarn (only reserved for all our occupants of the Gîte) .
  
  PRICES :
  - LOW SEASON - 01/10 to 31/05: €735 / week
  - MEDIUM SEASON - June AND September: €875 / week
  - HIGH SEASON - July AND August: 1050€ / week
  - WEEKEND (EXCEPT OUT OF SEASON) : €250 - 2 nights minimum

Our stay went really well. The setting is very pleasant, calm with a magnificent view of the Pyrenees. High-end and careful service. The renovation of this old sheepfold is a total success which combines old stones and modernism. The stamp has been perfectly preserved. The gîte corresponds 100% to the description, a very complete library, rich in documentation on the region and its surroundings is at our disposal. The park and the swimming pool fully contribute to rest. A very warm welcome was given to us by the owners. Definitely deserves to be returned. To recommend. August 2013.

We spent a few days in Lamarquette in mid-June 2014 for the second time in 2 years. The Gîte is ideal because the house is old, but completely renovated with great taste and all the comforts (the underfloor heating, I love, especially in the morning). The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and functional. The view of the Pyrenees, in good weather (we had a bit, but June was rotten everywhere), is superb - even from the swimming pool. The owners are charming and warm; they guided us towards Pau (in particular to the typical local market and ideal for stocking up on fresh products of all kinds), and the church of Saint Girons (very beautiful structure, worth visiting). The dream for Parisians like us who want to find calm. Conquered by Béarn!

As soon as we arrive we know that we are going to have a wonderful holiday...quiet in an idyllic place. The photos of the cottage are dreamy, and yet it's even more beautiful in real life! Everything is impeccable, the services of the cottage (there is everything you need, even for children), large swimming pool, panorama from the cottage... and top-notch welcome! Only regret: having only booked one week!
