  Place looked cheap and has a horrible staff.. We asked if we could get a vegetarian meal, and they immediately said no. When we asked if we could just drink a glass of wine, the waitress got rude and sent us away immediately. I would never recommend this.

  Before I arrived i read reviews of this place. Some quite critical. The sign on the front clearly instructed me to collect the key from over the road. A very pleasant lady greeted me and gave me the front door code and key for my budget room. She asked if I wanted breakfast. I tole her im up early hiking. She directed me to a boulanger where I could get stuff in the morning. Walking up the old stairs I heard the creaky steps but it added to the character of the hotel. My room was very clean and a pleasant temperature. The bathroom had soap. The shower was perfect and easy to operate. Tv worked. Only French but hey I'm in France and in abudget room. At night I slept well in my comfy bed. The hotel was perfect for me. On returning from a hike I was greeted by my room being cleaned and the bed made tidy. I didn't expect that so was happy. Hotel d'Ossau was great. I would recommend it to all.
