In Gabas, a hamlet famous for its cheese salting rooms in a house from the 18th Century, Jean-Marc welcomes you at the feet of the National Park (Bious Artigues, entrance of the National Park less than 4 km). 12 km away from the Col du Pourtalet (Spanish border) and near Artouste’s ski resort and its famous Little Train you can find the Estibère’s house. On the way of the GR10 and Saint-Jacques-de-Compostella.
The house has one family bedroom with 4 beddings and bathrooms (one in each part), and two double rooms with one bathroom in each. There’s also a relaxing room with a sauna, and a place to keep your mountain bikes safe.
Jean-Marc, mountain guide and ski instructor for 30 years, will provide you guidance in your search for hikes, he will show you nice spots to revitalize yourself, and go with you in the field if you wish to. As a mountain bike lover, he will indicate you all the different spots to go riding.
A « table d’hôtes » is available by reservation, on the menu : simple meals with products from the valley, quality meat, forest’s products, « garbure » (a local dish) cooked by the book and of course sheep’s cheese from the valley matured on the spot.
