Espace Ludopia: A day of unusual activities with children in the Pyrenees!

Espace Ludopia is an absolutely unique leisure park, in the heart of the Aspe Valley in the Béarnaise Pyrenees. 1 hour from Pau and 25 minutes from Oloron, in lush greenery, fun and varied body activities await you, to awaken the senses of the whole family, to stimulate curiosity, defy gravity, rack your brains… 30 new modules, made to measure and accompanied by a hundred wooden games, make up a course for all ages, in a beautiful natural environment. A project driven by the desire to have fun

Opened in 2016, Espace Ludopia is the result of a long reflection, the desire of a group of friends, to create a place in the middle of the mountains, cultural but also fun and above all, for everyone. When the 4 friends settled in the Aspe Valley, they were overwhelmed by its beauty but lamented the lack of infrastructure to entertain families. Create a tavern? They think about it and even bring together, through an association, a group of happy enthusiasts. Each one bringing their skills and knowledge: a psychologist, a physiotherapist, intermittent performers, arts and street theatre... Eclectic , they draw the outlines of a project that resembles them, a melting pot of sensory experiences, of manipulations, with natural materials… A designer will even sketch this crazy project and by seeing it, everything becomes obvious! There are ten of them working to bring Espace Ludopia out of the ground, supported by elected officials, then the Region, Europe, diverse and trusted partners who believe in this unique place!

For the nascent team, the spirit of the place is inseparable from the creation/manufacture of the workshops and modules: Recover, recycle, upcycle, to limit the impact of the project and include it in the ecosystem that surrounds it: outside question of harming the tranquility and beauty of these mountains! Doing it yourself also offers the advantage of being able to repair, improve and duplicate creations. From year to year, the fine team adds modules, today it is about thirty modules and more than 100 games which are to be discovered at Espace Ludopia. Animations are added, highlighting the talents of the actors of the project. Stimulate the senses, open the mind , tickle curiosity, surprise and make people laugh… Generous and optimistic wishes, perfectly realized, you will see it for yourself during your visit!

Espace Ludopia is an inclusive place, the goal has always been to make it accessible to everyone. It is labeled Tourism and Handicaps , it is an intergenerational place which regularly welcomes institutions and people with disabilities. People feel good there and the investment of the team is also focused on the protection of the environment: the Espace Ludopia is also labeled Esprit Parc National. The buildings are eco-designed, with dry toilets, as well as a green roof... Since this year, the snack bar has been offering organic products and the small shop tends to offer local or environmentally friendly products as much as possible, different.

A family day out in the Pyrenees at Espace Ludopia

No need to ask the question, Espace Ludopia is perfectly suited to everyone! With family, friends, everyone will find pleasure in coming to spend some time there. Located in Accous, a charming village to discover in the Aspe Valley, it is accessible in 1 hour from Pau and 25 minutes from Oloron-Sainte-Marie. The Aspe Valley is perfect for nature holidays, relaxing and sporting too: it is the stronghold of hiking, a paradise for walkers and observers of fauna and flora.

The modules of Espace Ludopia (in fr) are difficult to describe, because they are unique and very original ! They appeal to logic, but they are not puzzles, they sometimes require movement, but are not sports apparatus, they stimulate our senses, at the pace we wish, they require cooperation , the physical investment, without being tiring or imposing physical form! In addition to the modules, the park is dotted with wooden games. Old games, solo or team games... It feels good to have fun away from the screens, by touching, moving, moving... These games bring back good memories to the old ones and amuse the little ones, they are timeless and intergenerational! Inspired, as for the modules, from all regions of the world, atypical and alternative, they arouse curiosity.

Espace Ludopia and its team offer game entertainment. For a party, fair, a professional or family event, a wedding or a birthday, it is possible to rent traditional wooden games that will involve and play people of all ages, together. The team can organize tournaments, challenges, various challenges... Cooperative, these are 100% successful and original moments! It is also possible to rent the sensory caravan, a unique space like a food truck but to play, to encounter smells, flavors, textures and sensations.

Espace Ludopia is open on a flexible schedule, click to view (in fr) it. We advise you to plan 3 to 5 hours of visit, you can spend the day on site and bring a picnic or fill up at the snack bar / bar. We advise you to book in advance of your visit in the summer.
