Aren is a village in Haut-Béarn, nestled in the Josbaig valley, around twelve kilometers from Oloron-Sainte-Marie and Navarrenx.

Crossed by the Gave d'Oloron and its tributaries, it benefits from an exceptional natural setting. The village is the only one in the Josbaig valley to be located near the Gave d'Oloron.
