Its unique feature? The vines are grouped together on a single plot of land, facing due south towards the mountains. A family story driven by a passion for wine

Domaine Pichard was born from the friendship between two brothers-in-law, Jean Sentilles and Rod Cork. Jean helped shape the vineyard and pass on his exacting standards, while Rod continues this winemaking adventure today by welcoming visitors and sharing his passion for wine. The estate's wines are also appreciated internationally.

A Pyrenean terroir ideal for great wines

Surrounded by oak trees and forests, the plots rest on soil composed of fine clays and pebbles of quartz, quartzite and lydite, inherited from the Quaternary period. These well-drained soils and the pebbles that retain heat contribute to the characteristics of the vineyard.

Committed to an environmental approach, the estate began its conversion to organic farming in 2012 and obtained its organic certification in 2015.

During your visit, discover the emblematic grape varieties of the Madiran and Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh appellations:

• Tannat, the flagship grape variety of Madiran red wine, develops aromas of blackcurrant, red fruits, and earthy and mineral notes. Aged for 24 to 36 months in large oak casks and barrels, depending on the vintage, it pairs well with red meats, duck, game, and flavorful dishes.
• Cabernet Franc brings freshness and elegance, with notes that can evoke dark chocolate, roasted coffee and eucalyptus.
• Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh, a white wine from Southwest France made primarily from Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng grapes, is available in both dry and sweet styles. The dry white pairs well with aperitifs, seafood, and cured ham. The sweet white complements foie gras, blue cheeses, and desserts.
