Castle of Morlanne Castles in Morlanne

Erected in 1373 by Gaston III of Foix-Béarn (known as “Gaston Fébus”), the Castle of Morlanne is one of the finest examples of Febusian construction on the borders of Landes and Béarn. Its architecture of stones and bricks makes it an atypical medieval fortress testifying to the clever processes of its Languedoc architect Sicard de Lordat. Site protected as Historic Monuments. More than 200 works classified or listed as Historic Monuments.

Inside, 5 exhibition rooms present the restoration of the site and the collection of works of art bequeathed by Hélène and Raymond Ritter, the last private owners who made the castle their home until 2003.

The castle has a park with free access all year round. Sound course "In the times of Fébus" free in free access.
