Le Col du Pourtalet Nature Reserves in Laruns

The Col du Pourtalet is located in the town of Laruns. It is part of the Massif du Pic du Midi d'Ossau and rises to 1792 meters.
It has the particularity of being on horseback between France and Spain.
On the French side, it extends into the Ossau Valley .
On the Spanish side, it stretches out into the Tena Valley.
It is a former border crossing, where you can still see a border post. Numerous hiking and cycling trails and circuits allow you to explore it and enjoy breathtaking views of the Pyrenean mountains, and in particular the Pic du Midi d'Ossau .
