In the Aspe Valley , “ the Forges d'Abel ” is the name given to a district of Borce.
At the beginning of the 19th century, there was an old steel factory there. Subsequently, the site hosted a station, at the exit of the Somport tunnel, connecting Spain and France.
This unusual heritage makes it possible to raise a part of the history of the region and of the economic relations between the two countries.
A hiking loop, starting from the Forges d'Abel, leads you to Lac d'Estaens, Urdos, passing by the Espelunguères waterfalls .
It's an easy hike, about 13 km.
