Located at 6 Place Clémenceau, in the heart of the city centre, Le Berry has been a Pau institution since 1934. People come here for its lively atmosphere and its entirely homemade cuisine, whether for lunch, dinner or a gourmet break.

With nearly 80 dishes on the menu, most priced between €3 and €19, there's something for every budget and taste: classic brasserie fare, meats, fish, salads, and house specialties. The restaurant is open every day of the year, including Sundays.

The Guide's tip: everything is homemade, from the croque-monsieur to the sweetbreads. The menu is suitable for both a quick meal and a more elaborate dinner, and everyone in the group will find something to their liking.

After the meal: a walk in Pau

The restaurant is ideally located for exploring the city on foot. From Place Clémenceau, walk down to the Hédas district, then up to Pau Castle, the birthplace of Henry IV. Continue to Boulevard des Pyrénées, which offers panoramic views of the entire mountain range. You can then stroll through the historic center and its shops, or extend your excursion to the Jurançon vineyards.

Day trip idea: a stroll through the historic center in the morning, lunch at Berry, then late afternoon on Boulevard des Pyrénées with a view of the mountains. At sunset, the view is even more beautiful, and the restaurant also serves dinner.
