A MEDIEVAL AND HISTORICAL THEME PARK AT MONTANER CASTLE

Montaner Castle offers a fun and historical game trail to explore its wooded grounds. It's a great family outing idea where parents and children can enjoy all sorts of games together, both outdoors and inside the castle.

During their adventure, players journey through meadows, forests, the main courtyard, and part of the medieval keep. This leisure activity will entertain children and parents alike, offering a glimpse into life in the Middle Ages and the story of Gaston Fébus, the prince of Béarn.

Montaner Castle welcomes you for a day of family adventure less than an hour from Pau, Tarbes, and Lourdes, with its medieval treasure hunt. For a truly immersive experience in the Middle Ages, visitors can enjoy medieval entertainment during July and August. Knights' battles, archery, axe throwing, medieval songs and dances… and even treetop trekking! A vibrant program awaits visitors of all ages this summer at Montaner Castle.

In addition to the adventure trail and summer activities, visitors can enhance their day with guided tours of the impressive dungeon. After climbing the spiral staircase and exploring all the floors with our passionate guides, visitors will reach the rooftop terrace with its exceptional view of the Pyrenees mountain range.

• Opening hours: 10am to 7pm in July-August ; 10am to 6pm from September to November. Last entry 2 hours before closing.
