Discover the Gardens of Viven Castle throughout the seasons

Located 20 km north of Pau, in the heart of Béarn in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques (64), the Gardens of the Château de Viven invite you to an unforgettable botanical walk through the seasons.

Visits and opening hours

The gardens are open from May 15th to October 15th, from 1pm to 7pm.
Closed on Sundays and public holidays, except:

• by appointment,
• during the European Heritage Days in September,
• during the Rendez-vous aux Jardins event in June,
• as well as on the occasion of various national events and cultural events.

A unique botanical visit

Each tree and shrub in the garden is geolocated, numbered, and identified by a label stating:

• its French name,
• its botanical family,
• an interactive QR code.

By scanning this QR code, you will have direct access to the complete information sheet for the plant on the arboretum website, for a more in-depth exploration of the flora.

You can visit the gardens independently using the information leaflet provided on site. The visit lasts approximately 2 hours, and you can enjoy it at your own pace throughout the day.

• Adult entry with picnic : €7 (Tables and chairs are provided.)
• Children : free up to 12 years old
