Artouste offers you a postcard setting, arrived at the lake of Fabrèges, either you take the beautiful road of the Col du Pourtalet towards nearby Spain, offering you superb panoramas on the Pic du midi d'Ossau massif, or you go around the lake to stop at Fabrèges at the starting point of the ski lifts of the Artouste ski area in winter and the ride in the little train in summer.
The winter sports resort of Artouste, from 1400 m to 2100 m in altitude facing the Pyrenees National Park offers you a superb panorama of the Pic du Midi d'Ossau massif. It is today the kingdom of alpine skiers but also of new board sports.
As for the little Artouste train, the highest in Europe, open from the end of May to the end of September, it invites you in summer to take a 10km open-air ride at an altitude of over 2000m to Lake Artouste. .
