Directions Nativ - Seasonal cuisine, Mauritian flavors and a warm welcome in the heart of Pau

About

  • English
    • Nativ, a superb restaurant where everything is perfectly controlled, from the welcome to the coffee, in the center of Pau

A must-visit ! That perfectly defines this unique place for exchange and sharing. Passionate about cooking, baking, her local produce, and craftsmanship, Tasiana didn't hesitate for a second to open a restaurant that brings together all her passions: Nativ. In the heart of Pau's historic center, this artist, originally from Mauritius, welcomes you throughout the day from Tuesday to Friday, 10 am to 5 pm. A gourmet stop is definitely in order, especially at Nativ!

      Fresh, seasonal cuisine served continuously

The menu is concise (two choices for starters and main courses) because it prioritizes quality over quantity. To create her flavorful and aromatic dishes, Tasiana visits the market in Pau and local producers, carefully selecting the best seasonal ingredients. A quick turn in the kitchen transforms these local gems into delicious recipes that blend French tradition with Mauritian inspiration. The equally decadent dessert is absolutely divine, especially when paired with matcha tea, specialty coffee, or a handcrafted beverage. And on Saturdays? It's brunch at Nativ restaurant, which even hosts Pilates & Brunch once a month—a unique moment of relaxation and indulgence that you can book without hesitation.

The dishes served continuously from 12pm to 3pm allow you to enjoy a delicious meal at any time of day.

Nativ, a warm and inviting bistro-café where you can relax and unwind.

Whether it's for a morning coffee, a hearty breakfast, a quick lunch, or a generous afternoon snack, Tasiana extends the same warm and welcoming smile to each of its guests. Its cozy and intimate restaurant features a few custom-made tables crafted by a local artisan, a nod to its region that is reflected in every detail of the establishment. The tableware is handcrafted by Les Ateliers Hybrides, the coffee is from Azeria in Biarritz, the tea comes from Un Air de Thé, while the personalized décor showcases magnificent works by Mauritian painters. From concept to plate, from idea to cup, Nativ is like a return to one's roots, where pleasure is paramount.
