Farmhouse cheese, agritourism and gîtes in Laruns – Ossau Valley, Pyrénées-Atlantiques

Located in Laruns, in the heart of the Ossau Valley, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques (64), our mountain farm raises 130 Basco-Béarnaise sheep. All products come from our own production, using traditional, artisanal methods.

Production of farmhouse cheese made from sheep's milk in Laruns

All milk production is transformed directly on the farm into pure sheep's milk cheese, according to ancestral know-how. We also make greuil (fresh sheep's milk cheese) and artisanal sheep's milk soaps.

In winter, our activity takes place in Laruns, in the valley, and during the summer, we move to the heights, to the Brousset summer pasture, in the Las Québos cabin.

Farm visits and agritourism activities

The farm is open to visitors from November 1st to May 31st. Come and discover the daily life of mountain farming: caring for the animals, milking the sheep, and transforming the milk into cheese. An educational, authentic activity accessible to all.

Farmhouse Gîtes in the Ossau Valley

We offer two gîtes for rent all year round, within the farm itself:

• Gîte "La Maison Vieille" (4 to 6 people)
• Gîte "La Caoubère" (6 to 8 people)

From November to May

Enjoy a stay close to the sheep, with the opportunity to participate in agricultural activities (care, milking, cheese making). A true immersion in agrotourism in the Pyrenees.

From June to October

The gîtes are the ideal starting point for your hikes in the Ossau Valley, towards Spain or the neighboring valleys. Don't miss the famous Train d'Artouste, perched at an altitude of over 2000 m, as well as the many nature activities: fishing, mountain biking, canyoning, observation of local wildlife...
