Come and stroll through this pretty Béarn town, located on the banks of the Ousse. From its ancient times, a 13th-century tower, part of the ramparts, and the 14th-century Gothic church remain. On Place Du Barry sits a bronze goose, the advanced sentinel of Béarn, once charged with warning the Béarn towns threatened by invaders from Bigorre. The town's coat of arms also includes a Latin motto: "Melior vigilentia somno" (Better to be awake than asleep).
