    • Ferme Pujalet is a family farm that has been in place for many generations. It is located in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, in the Ossau Valley, in the small village of Aste-Béon, usually known for its walks and its Vulture Cliff Museum.

We are two partners: Patrick the father, and Noémie the daughter recently installed on the farm.

We raise 350 sheep, and thanks to their milk we make raw milk cheeses, a typical product of our Ossau Valley , which rewarded us and was elected Gold Medal in Paris in 2019!!! They are salted by hand during the first 4 days, and we have managed to preserve this ancestral method which gives them a subtle and fragrant taste. They are then matured and pampered for 4 to 7 months in our salting rooms on the farm.

Since November 2020, and after numerous tests, we have launched the production of sheep's milk jam. A caramelized and sweet taste that goes well with your cottage cheeses, natural yogurts, your pancakes or waffles, or simply a good slice of bread.

Our sheep go out every day for 8 to 9 months of the year in the natural meadows around the farm. From June they transhume on the Aste-Béon summer pasture until September. It’s an easily accessible summer pasture for your walks, don’t hesitate to go and visit them!

We also have a small herd of suckler cows, intended for meat production. They also transhume on the same summer pasture as the Sheep, which allows us to easily monitor everyone throughout the summer. This workshop, which is secondary, makes it possible to use grass and less good quality fodder, in order to keep the best for the sheep and thus produce cheeses rich in flavor.

We sell all our production directly to the farm store where you can taste the products and visit the sheepfold. We also have products such as veal axoa, veal blanquette, marengo veal in canned form. You can find us on Saturday mornings on the Laruns market, as well as on Thursday evenings in July and August in Laruns as well. To diversify our range, and in order to satisfy everyone's taste buds, we also offer Cow and Mixed cheeses from another producer in the Valley. In addition, we have a sufficient stock of cheeses to guarantee sales throughout the year. For your travels, transport, or for gifts, we can vacuum-pack your pieces.

We also ship our cheeses directly from the farm, and we regularly make deliveries to Langon (33). Do not hesitate to contact us to find out the prices and terms.

To discover our farm and follow it regularly, do not hesitate to find us on Facebook: LA FERME PUJALET

For us the best cheese in the valley (subjective of course) and therefore in the world (totally objective this time). The farm is easy to access, the hours allow us to be almost sure to have someone to serve us. 18€/kg instead of 28/30 in store and always with a smile, thank you you don't change anything

I had a recommendation of this family farm and was not disappointed. Arrived at 5:50 p.m. (closing at 6:00 p.m.) Alice received me very kindly and with a big smile despite the work that awaited her afterward (Traite des vins) She took the time to prepare my spontaneous order. The cheeses are excellent, well presented and the price is much lower than those charged elsewhere. In conclusion, I recommend this place. Everyone should go there! No wonder this family received a gold medal at the Paris agricultural show! Well done !!
